If you’re ever in Bali and looking for a chill spot to grab a bite, you gotta check out Djournal Coffee at Jl. Teuku Umar No. 1 in Denpasar. Seriously, this place is a gem! The food is rated a perfect 5.0/5.0, and I can totally see why. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious!

Let’s talk about the menu highlights. The Tongseng Ayam and Tongseng Sapi are must-tries, packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice. And if you’re a coffee lover, their Piccolo is on point! I mean, the coffee here is just amazing. One customer even mentioned, “The coffee is so good, big thanks to the barista for following my notes and making the iced coffee separately.” How cool is that?

Oh, and don’t skip the Butter Croissant! It’s super flaky and buttery, just the way a croissant should be. Another highlight is the Sweet Weekend A and the Mac & Cheese Pie—both are comfort food at its finest. You’ll leave feeling satisfied and happy!

The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for hanging out with friends or just chilling alone. It can get a bit loud, so maybe not the best spot for a serious meeting, but who cares when the food and coffee are top-notch? The staff are super friendly and speak good English, which makes the experience even better. One visitor said, “Good place to eat either alone or with friends,” and I couldn’t agree more!

Prices are pretty reasonable too, with lunch ranging from Rp25,000-50,000 and dinner from Rp50,000-100,000. You definitely get your money’s worth here!

Now, I did hear a few folks mention that sometimes their favorite drinks can be sold out, which can be a bummer. One customer said, “I was really looking forward to my drink, but it was out of stock. I had to pick something else, and it ended up being more expensive.” That’s a bit of a letdown, but hey, it happens! Just make sure to check what’s available before you order.

But honestly, the coffee here is some of the best in Bali. One visitor raved, “Best coffee in Bali so far.. Batavia for sure!” And if you’re feeling adventurous, you gotta try their es podeng and seblak – they come highly recommended!
