If you’re ever in Canggu, Bali, you absolutely have to check out Zai Cafe Breakfast & Dinner. Seriously, this place is a gem! I recently dropped by and was totally blown away. The vibe is just perfect—cozy and inviting, with a beautiful interior that makes you want to stay forever. Plus, the service? Top-notch! They scored a perfect 5.0/5.0 for service, and I can totally see why. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered a few dishes, including the Chicken Soup, Bumble Coffee, and Beef in Cream Sauce. And let me tell you, everything was delicious! I mean, I LOVE the chicken soup!!! I was feeling a bit under the weather that week, and this soup was a lifesaver. Soooooo delicious! I’ll definitely be ordering this all the time! The Bumble Coffee? Perfection! But I did notice that some folks mentioned the portions are a bit small and on the pricier side. You might want to order at least three mains to really fill up.

One of the coolest things about Zai Cafe is that it’s relatively new, having opened just six months ago, but it’s already winning hearts. The presentation of the dishes is like art—each plate is a little masterpiece that’s a joy to look at and taste. I also heard from another visitor that they had the best oysters of their life here! They were raving about how fresh and delicious they were. And the service? Devi, one of the staff members, was super helpful and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

Sure, some people pointed out that the round wooden tables can be a bit uncomfortable, and the open rooftop on one side might not be the best for air conditioning. But honestly, with the quality of food and the chill atmosphere, I think it’s still a solid 5-star spot. The music is just right, and the whole place is beautiful to look at.

All in all, Zai Cafe Breakfast & Dinner is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for great food, a lovely atmosphere, and fantastic service. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Bali!

As I stepped into Zai Cafe in Canggu, Bali, I was immediately enveloped by a warm ambiance that felt like a nostalgic embrace, reminiscent of childhood meals and family vacations. The decor was stunning, a beautiful blend of Asian and African influences, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere that invited you to linger. The music played softly in the background, enhancing the experience, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing evening.

However, my culinary journey began with a starter of tuna that left much to be desired; it was bland and uninspiring. The oysters were decent, but they didn’t quite capture my heart. For the main course, I opted for the salmon paired with baby potatoes. While the salmon was satisfactory, the potatoes lacked flavor, and I found myself leaving them untouched. The service was peculiar; it took three requests to finally receive water, which was frustrating amidst the otherwise pleasant environment.

Yet, not all was lost. I was fortunate to be served by Agus, a friendly and attentive waiter who brightened my experience. His warmth and hospitality reminded me of the kindness often found in family gatherings. Another highlight was the lovely dinner I shared with friends, where the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed. The portions were a tad small, but the food was undeniably fresh and delicious, making it a worthwhile experience.

Despite the limited vegetarian options, the salads and sides we tried were delightful. The sourdough bread was a standout, and the fresh oysters were a treat. I also had the pleasure of meeting Leoni, a kind and positive girl who expertly guided us through the menu, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

In reflection, Zai Cafe is a place that touches the heart. It may have its flaws, but the beautiful decor, the friendly staff, and the moments of joy shared over meals create a tapestry of memories that linger long after the last bite. I may not return for the food alone, but the warmth of the staff and the inviting atmosphere will always hold a special place in my heart. I left with a smile, grateful for the experience and the memories made, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a cozy spot in Canggu.
