Warung Taj – Indian Fine Cuisine, Seminyak
Tari
So, I recently checked out Warung Taj Indian Fine Cuisine in Bali, and I gotta say, it was quite the experience! Located on Sunset Road, this place has a chill vibe, but let’s just say the atmosphere isn’t the highlight. I mean, it’s rated 2.7/5.0 for a reason, right? But hey, who needs fancy decor when you’re craving some good Indian food?
I ordered a few things like the Chai Indian Milk Tea, Dosa, and Meal Package 1, and honestly, everything was pretty tasty! I even tried the Gulab Jamun package with samosas and masala, and it was delicious. One reviewer mentioned, “Very nice taste. Fair price. But!! Stop using aluminum; it causes heavy neural diseases!” which is a bit concerning, but the food was fresh and tasty overall.
Now, I did notice some mixed reviews from other diners. One person said, “Can’t complain about the food taste and quality due to this being my first time trying Indian food, but I finished my meal without hesitation. Not an Instagrammable place, but the service is friendly and fast. Average rate but still affordable for the locals.” That pretty much sums up the vibe here!
On the flip side, someone else was not impressed, saying, “Really bad food. Not Indian. You’ll be very disappointed if you go. Nice staff though. Looks okay. Taste is bad.” Ouch! But then again, another guest mentioned, “We had plain dosa, masala papad, and pani puri. Good option for Indians, but please don’t try pani puri; it tastes different than what we get in India. Dosa was good.” So, it seems like the dosa is a hit!
Overall, I’d say Warung Taj is a decent spot for Indian food in Bali. The food is good, the portions are generous, and while it might not be 100% authentic, it’s still a solid choice. I’d definitely come back if I find myself in Bali again!

Hey there! So, I recently checked out this Indian restaurant called Warung Taj Indian Fine Cuisine located at Jl. Sunset Road No.88-99 in Kerobokan Kelod, Bali. I gotta say, it was quite an experience! The place has a mixed bag of reviews, but I was curious to see for myself.
First off, the food got a rating of 3.3/5.0, and honestly, I think that’s pretty fair. I ordered a few things like the Chai Indian Milk Tea, Dosa, and Meal Package 1. Everything was fresh and tasty! I mean, I really enjoyed every bite of it! Some folks have said, “Great Indian food at an affordable price,” and I totally agree. It’s nice to find a spot where you can indulge without breaking the bank.
Now, I did notice that the atmosphere was rated a bit lower at 2.7/5.0. It’s located on the second floor of a shopping mall, and there’s no escalator or lift, which can be a bit of a hassle. Plus, parking can be somewhat tricky to find, but there’s a paid parking lot available. Just a heads up if you’re planning to visit!
On the service front, they scored 3.7/5.0, and I found the staff to be really polite and attentive. One reviewer mentioned, “The restaurant staff is very good and polite. Service is faster,” and I couldn’t agree more. They were on top of things, which made the dining experience smoother.
However, not everyone had a great time. I came across some pretty harsh reviews, with one person saying, “Pathetic food. Pathetic service.” Yikes! But I think it really depends on what you order and how specific you are with your requests. I’ve heard that if you ask for dishes with less oil, they’ll accommodate you. So, maybe it’s worth a shot if you’re picky about your food.
Overall, I had a good time at Warung Taj. I’m definitely planning to return the next time I’m in Bali. If you’re in the mood for some Indian cuisine, this place might just hit the spot!
