If you’re ever in Mataram, you absolutely have to check out Taman Bakso Ancar! This cozy little cafe on Jl. Kedondong in Cakranegara is a total gem. Seriously, the food is rated 5.0/5.0, the service is top-notch at 5.0/5.0, and the atmosphere? Yup, another 5.0/5.0! You can dine in for dinner or brunch, and it won’t break the bank—prices range from Rp25,000 to Rp50,000 per person.

I ordered a bunch of stuff, including Pisang Coklat, Bakso Standar, and Pisang Goreng Krispi, and let me tell you, everything was delicious! One reviewer even said, “I fell in love with the special chicken noodles and the dumplings.” And I totally get it! The bakso, noodles, and broth were all super tasty, especially the beef bakso. I mean, if they had bigger beef bakso, I’d be all over that! Haha! They also mentioned that the chicken butter was good, but the sauce was a bit too salty. But hey, the chicken dumplings were a hit, and the es campur was super refreshing!

Now, the place is clean, but I have to admit, the view of the river could use some work. I even saw some locals squatting by the river, which kinda killed the vibe a bit. But honestly, the comfort of the place makes up for it. It’s perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and you can even sit on the floor if you want! The service is friendly and quick, and the food is just right for the taste buds. Definitely worth a visit!

Another visitor said it’s a good spot for hanging out with college friends, and I couldn’t agree more. Plus, the food is delicious and affordable, and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend the sweet tea, es teler, and their other dishes!
