PHO House Bali, Bypass Ngurah Rai

Asyifa

Hey there! So, I recently checked out this Vietnamese spot called PHO House Bali located at Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai No. 8, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, and let me tell you, it was a total vibe! The food? A solid 5.0/5.0 – no joke! The service was pretty good too, scoring 4.7/5.0, and the atmosphere was chill with another 4.7/5.0. Perfect for a cozy dinner!

So, I went there for dinner and ordered a few things: Pho Bo (Regular Size), Pho Ga (Regular Size), and Pad Thai Vegetarian. Everything was delicious! Seriously, some folks were raving about it saying it’s the best pho in town. Must try! I totally agree! One guy even said, “Amazing, driver was great too!” and another mentioned, “Very tasty pho like in Vietnam.” And don’t even get me started on the Thai Green Papaya Salad – it was always delicious! Just make sure to ask for extra dried shrimp!

While I was there, I overheard some other diners sharing their thoughts too. One person said, “I ordered chicken pho and squid. Atmosphere was good and pho taste was the best that I’ve ever had! Unfortunately, there wasn’t beer that time but I’m sure it will be 100 times better with beer. If I have the opportunity, I would like to visit again!” Another guest mentioned, “I would fly to Bali just for a bowl from Pho House. Nothing compares to this in Jakarta. Wherever I stay in Bali, I’d go to Jimbaran just for this.” How cool is that?

And get this, someone had their first Vietnamese and Thai food experience there and was blown away! They tried the Pho Bo and said, “The beef broth was tasty and the herbs are super fresh! The portion of each dish was big, so if you want to try other food, you can just order one portion and share it.” They also loved the Thai Papaya Salad, saying it was super refreshing and umami with the dried shrimp. They even mentioned that the restaurant is flexible with spice levels, which is great for those who can’t handle the heat!

Just a heads up, parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but the restaurant itself is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. Oh, and definitely call or message them before you go because their business hours can be a bit unpredictable. I learned that the hard way!

All in all, I had a fantastic time at PHO House Bali, and I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Bali. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese food, you’ve got to check this place out!

As I stepped into PHO House Bali, located on the bustling Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai in Jimbaran, I was immediately enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant’s decor strikes a balance between modern aesthetics and traditional Vietnamese elements, creating a cozy yet vibrant dining space. The friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles, setting the tone for what would be a delightful culinary adventure.

The menu boasts a variety of dishes, but I was particularly drawn to their signature offerings: Pho Bo (Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup), Pho Ga (Chicken Noodle Soup), and the Vegetarian Pad Thai. As I settled in, I couldn’t help but notice the generous portions of fresh herbs and toppings that accompanied the dishes, a hallmark of authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

I decided to start with the Pho Bo, and let me tell you, it was a feast for the senses! The broth was rich and flavorful, infused with aromatic herbs that transported me straight to the streets of Vietnam. One reviewer mentioned that the broth tasted more like Indonesian beef ball soup, but I found it to be a delightful blend of spices, reminiscent of the traditional pho I had enjoyed in Vietnam. The fresh herbs on the side were a perfect touch, allowing me to customize each bite to my liking.

Next up was the Thai Green Papaya Salad, which was a refreshing burst of flavors. The dried shrimp added a delightful umami kick, and while I wished for a bit more peanut, the dish was still a winner. The menu even offered the option to adjust the spiciness, making it accessible for those who prefer milder flavors.

However, not all experiences were perfect. One guest pointed out that the fried spring rolls were not as crispy as expected, and the outdoor seating could be quite noisy due to the busy street. But honestly, the vibrant energy of the area added to the experience for me. Plus, the indoor seating was spacious and comfortable, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal.

As I savored my meal, I couldn’t help but appreciate the blend of cultures reflected in the dishes. While some may argue about the authenticity of the flavors, I found that PHO House Bali offers a unique take on Vietnamese cuisine that is both enjoyable and accessible. The friendly service and clean, well-furnished interior made it a pleasant dining experience.

In conclusion, PHO House Bali is a must-visit for anyone looking to dive into the world of Vietnamese and Thai cuisine while in Bali. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or a curious traveler, this restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey that captures the essence of Southeast Asian flavors. Just be sure to grab a seat indoors to escape the hustle and bustle of the street outside!
