Nasi Pecel Madiun Bu Watik, Kuta

Hey foodies! If you find yourself wandering around Kuta, Bali, you might want to check out Nasi Pecel Madiun Bu Watik. Located at Jl. Banjar Anyar No. 23, this little spot is all about that authentic Indonesian vibe, serving up some delicious Nasi Pecel.
So, I decided to give it a shot and ordered their Nasi Pecel with a fried egg, and let me tell you, it was a solid choice! The price is super affordable, with the Nasi Pecel going for just 15k IDR. I also added some catfish (lele) for 8k, but honestly, I wished it was a bit bigger. They do charge a 11% tax on top of the menu prices, so keep that in mind!
Now, the atmosphere? Well, it can get pretty hot in there, and it seems like most people prefer to order through delivery apps rather than dine in. There are only about six tables available, so if you’re planning to eat there, you might want to go during off-peak hours. But hey, if you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop!
One thing I heard from other diners is that the fried rice is a must-try, especially when the cook is on duty at night. They said they ordered it almost every night during their stay. I didn’t get to try it myself, but I’ll definitely keep that in mind for next time!
On the flip side, I did come across some mixed reviews. One visitor mentioned that the place felt dusty and dark, with poor air circulation. They ordered Nasi Kuning and Cireng, but were disappointed with the taste, saying it felt like instant food. Yikes! So, it seems like the experience can vary quite a bit.
Overall, if you’re in Kuta and craving some local flavors, Nasi Pecel Madiun Bu Watik is a decent spot to grab a bite. Just maybe stick to takeout or delivery for a more comfortable experience. Happy eating!

Hey foodies! If you find yourself in Kuta, Bali, you’ve got to check out Nasi Pecel Madiun Bu Watik. This little gem on Jl. Banjar Anyar No. 23 is serving up some seriously delicious Indonesian comfort food that will make your taste buds dance!
So, I just landed in Bali and it was pouring rain. We decided to order in through GrabFood and chow down at our hotel. Let me tell you, everything we tried was bursting with flavor! I was pleasantly surprised to find they serve tahu wali, and it was pretty good! The only letdown was the pukis; they only had pineapple jam filling, and the texture was denser and sweeter than what I’m used to. But hey, you can’t win them all, right?
Now, not everyone had the same experience. One reviewer mentioned that the place was dusty and hot, with poor air circulation. They ordered Nasi Kuning Ayam and Cireng, but it sounds like they were pretty disappointed. The nasi kuning tasted instant, and the cireng was lacking that chewy texture we all love. Yikes!
On a brighter note, another customer raved about their pecel madiun and tahu gejrot, calling it delicious and spicy! They even appreciated the packaging design and social media presence, which is a nice touch for a small food stall. It’s great to see them putting thought into branding!
However, not everyone was thrilled. One review pointed out that most of the sauces seemed pre-packaged and that they didn’t get the spicy kick they asked for. Plus, they found it a bit pricey for what they got.
Overall, Nasi Pecel Madiun Bu Watik has a solid food rating of 4.3/5, but the service and atmosphere could use some work, both sitting at 3.7/5. If you’re looking for a casual meal, this spot is worth a try, especially if you’re a fan of Indonesian cuisine. Just keep your expectations in check and maybe skip the pukis!
Happy eating, and enjoy your Bali adventure!
