If you’re ever in Bali and craving some dim sum, you gotta check out Kou Dimsum Parlour at Plaza Renon! Seriously, this place is a gem. The food is rated 4.7 out of 5, and I can totally see why. I ordered a few dishes like the Hongkong Style Fried Rice Small, Hakau Prawn Dumpling, and Kung Pao Chicken Small, and let me tell you, everything was delicious! The fried rice was well-seasoned and had a great texture, and the portions were pretty generous too. Some folks mentioned that the rice was a lot, and I totally agree!

Now, the service could use a little work, as it’s rated 3.7 out of 5. I did have to wait a bit to place my order, and it felt like we were ignored for a while. But once we got our food, it was all worth it! Just a heads up, if you’re planning to take out, it might be a good idea for them to include chopsticks for the environment and to save some cash.

One of the highlights for me was the Hakau Prawn Dumpling. It was so tasty! I also heard from other diners that the dimsums are really good, and they loved the lychee pineapple mocktail. They even customized it for less sugar, which was super nice of them!

Some reviews pointed out that the waitstaff could be a bit more attentive, and there were a few hiccups with orders, like soft chicken bones in the soup and small prawns in the seafood sapo tofu. But honestly, the flavors were authentic and really hit the spot. I mean, who would’ve thought you could find such good Hong Kong/Guangdong flavors in Indonesia?

Overall, Kou Dimsum Parlour has a nice vibe, perfect for family gatherings, and the atmosphere is classy with friendly waiters. I definitely plan to come back here whenever I’m in Bali again. If you love dim sum, this place is a must-visit!
