Stepping into Kedaton Restaurant in Kuta, Bali, is like being enveloped in a warm embrace of nostalgia. The ambiance, though simple, resonates with the essence of home-cooked meals that remind you of childhood memories and family gatherings. As I settled into my seat, I felt a wave of excitement wash over me, eager to indulge in the authentic flavors of Balinese cuisine.
My experience was a delightful journey through the rich tapestry of traditional dishes. The menu, while not extensive, offered a selection that was both comforting and exotic. I ordered a variety of side dishes, including the spicy sissit sapi, sate lilit, pepes ikan, and tum ayam, accompanied by a generous portion of rice. Each bite was a celebration of flavors, with the spicy notes dancing on my palate, reminiscent of the vibrant culinary culture of Bali. The special fried chicken my daughter chose was a standout, perfectly crunchy and savory without being overly sweet. It was a dish that brought smiles and satisfaction to our table.
While some reviews mentioned that there was room for improvement, I found the authenticity of the food to be its greatest strength. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. Yes, there were a few mosquitoes buzzing around, but the delightful music and the aroma of spices wafting through the air made it easy to overlook. The prices were incredibly reasonable, allowing us to indulge without breaking the bank.
As I savored each dish, I couldn’t help but reflect on how Kedaton Restaurant touched my heart. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about the memories it evoked and the joy it brought to my family. The flavors of Bali lingered long after our meal, leaving us with a yearning to return. Kedaton is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where the spirit of Bali comes alive, and I know that I will carry a piece of it with me, no matter where I go.

I decided to try a few things on the menu, and let me tell you, everything was super tasty! I ordered the Nasi Campur (takeout), Sayur Urap or Tumis (per portion), and Bregedel Jagung (per piece). All of it was just delicious! One reviewer even said, “The food is so good, I feel sorry for the chefs and the waitstaff because they are so friendly.” And I totally agree! The vibe here is just awesome.
Another guest mentioned, “One of the good nasi campur options in Bali! Affordable price, good taste, and they have parking for cars.” Plus, I saw someone raving about their “Chicken & Beef Rijsttafel Package” for just IDR 28K, which includes a mix of Balinese salad, fried chicken, shredded chicken in Balinese sauce, stir-fried beef, and more. Sounds amazing, right?
And if you’re looking for authentic Balinese food, this is the place to be! One visitor said, “If you want original food from Bali, you must come to Kedaton Restaurant. The taste is so good, and we want to come back again.” I couldn’t agree more! The prices are super reasonable, and the place is clean, which is always a plus.
Sure, the portions might be a bit on the smaller side, but trust me, the flavors make up for it. I can’t wait to go back to Kedaton Restaurant the next time I’m in Bali. It’s definitely a must-visit!
