If you’re ever in Denpasar, Bali, you absolutely have to check out Bodhi Leaf Eatery! This vegan spot is located at Komp. Pertokoan Udayana No. 2B, Jl. Letda Made Putra, and it’s a total gem. With a solid rating of 4.3 for food, 4.0 for service, and 4.0 for atmosphere, you know you’re in for a treat.

I recently swung by for brunch and ordered a bunch of dishes: Vegan Potstickers (Gyoza), Falafel Wrap, and Carrot Pumpkin Soup. Let me tell you, everything was delicious! One reviewer mentioned, “always satisfied with the taste and service… The best Vegetarian food in Denpasar.” I totally agree! But just a heads up, some folks have pointed out that while the food tastes great, it might not be 100% dairy-free. If you’re sensitive to lactose, you might want to take some lactase enzymes before diving in. It seems like the dishes are around 97% dairy-free, but not completely, so just be cautious if you’re really sensitive.

Another review hit the nail on the head: “Bodhi Leaf is a culinary haven, offering an extensive array of traditional Indonesian and Asian dishes.” The portions are generous, and even the smaller plates are packed with flavor. You can really tell that they put a lot of love and care into each dish. Plus, the prices are super reasonable, making it a great spot for a culinary adventure without breaking the bank.

And if you’re looking for a no-fuss experience, this place has a self-service salad buffet that’s uncomplicated and straightforward. One visitor said, “Nice little vegetarian restaurant. We come again!” And I can totally see why!

Just a quick note: while you can pay for food via card tap, the mandatory parking ticket requires cash, so keep that in mind. The place is air-conditioned, which is a nice bonus in Bali’s heat!

Overall, the food is delicious with a variety of healthy choices. Most of the dishes are baked and use less oil, yet they still pack a punch in flavor. Their salad is one of my favorites, and their coffee is great too. Oh, and don’t miss out on their Jamu, the turmeric drink—it’s the best in Bali!

I’ll definitely be back to Bodhi Leaf Eatery next time I’m in Bali. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving tasty vegan food!

Bodhi Leaf Eatery, nestled in the bustling Komp. Pertokoan Udayana in Denpasar, Bali, is a hidden gem that deserves a spotlight in the culinary scene. This vegetarian café offers a delightful array of healthy food and drink options that are not only affordable but also provide excellent value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an ideal spot for brunch or lunch.

During my visit, I indulged in their signature Vegan Potstickers (Gyoza), which were a standout dish. The crunchy vegetables inside were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was nothing short of excellent. The Falafel Wrap was equally enjoyable, though I found myself wishing for a spicy salsa to elevate the flavors further. The Carrot Pumpkin Soup was comforting and well-seasoned, making it a perfect choice for a light meal.

Many patrons have echoed my sentiments, with one visitor stating, “I think this place is totally underrated. It deserves more! Everything is totally gluten-free, food all plant-based but very tasty. Feeling totally rejuvenated after!” This speaks volumes about the quality and health-conscious approach of Bodhi Leaf Eatery.

While the food is commendable, some reviews noted that the service can be slow, particularly with takeout orders. One guest mentioned, “Unfortunately it can be extremely slow with takeout orders and apparent limited kitchen staff. The fresh food takes time, but it shouldn’t be over an hour wait.” However, the friendly and attentive service provided by the staff helps to mitigate any frustrations that may arise from wait times.

In conclusion, Bodhi Leaf Eatery is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious vegetarian cuisine in Bali. With a food rating of 4.3/5.0, service at 4.0/5.0, and a cozy atmosphere also rated at 4.0/5.0, it’s clear that this café is making a positive impact on its visitors. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, make sure to stop by and experience the rejuvenating flavors that Bodhi Leaf Eatery has to offer.
