So, I popped in and grabbed some chicken and chocolate bakpao. Unfortunately, the pork ones were sold out, but honestly, I didn’t even mind. The chicken was juicy, and the chocolate topping was generous—definitely worth the 17k IDR for two buns! Talk about a steal!

They have a ton of filling options, but my personal favorite has to be the peanut one. The bakpao is super soft, and the peanut flavor is just sweet enough—not overly sweet, but just right. Plus, they heat each bun before handing it over, so you get to enjoy them warm on your way home. Pair it with a cup of black coffee, and you’ve got yourself a perfect snack!

If you’re in the mood for some delicious bao, you absolutely have to check out Hok Khi Pao located at Jalan Raya Sesetan no.145. This place is a hidden gem for bao lovers, and trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

One of the standout features of Hok Khi Pao is their variety of fillings. My personal favorite has to be the peanut-filled bao. The bao itself is incredibly soft, and the sweetness of the peanuts is just perfect—not too sweet, but just right. Plus, every bao is steamed fresh before they hand it over to you, so when you take it home, it’s still warm and ready to be devoured. Pair it with a cup of black coffee, and you’ve got yourself a match made in heaven!

However, I did hear some feedback about their service, especially regarding online orders. One customer mentioned that they had trouble with an order placed around 7:40 AM because the branch at Taman Griya Jimbaran was still closed. They tried reaching out to the restaurant through the number listed on the Grab app but received no response. This can be quite frustrating for both drivers and customers, so I hope they can improve their online service soon!

Overall, I’d rate the food a solid 4.5/5, but the service could use some work, sitting at 3.0/5. The atmosphere is decent, around 3.5/5, making it a nice spot to grab a quick bite. Prices are super affordable, with meals averaging around Rp1-25,000 per person. So, if you’re looking for a tasty treat, definitely give Hok Khi Pao a try!
