AYAM BAKAR MADU JAKARTA, NUSA DUA
Amara
Hey foodies! So, let me tell you about this hidden gem I discovered in Nusa Dua called Ayam Bakar Madu Jakarta. Seriously, it’s one of those places that just pops up on your Grab app and you can’t help but be intrigued by its catchy tagline: “quality is our tripe.” I mean, what a line! It’s both genius and a bit mysterious, right? So, of course, I had to place an order to see what all the fuss was about.
When the food arrived, I was totally blown away. The juicy, tender, melt-in-your-mouth Gurami fish was just out of this world! I couldn’t believe how good it was. I washed it down with a sip of their Happy Soda (which, let’s be real, might give you a sugar rush). One bite turned into two, and before I knew it, I was standing outside the restaurant the very next day, ready for round two!
The vibe of the place was super chill. Sure, there were a couple of lizards and even an occasional cockroach, but honestly, that just added to the authenticity of the experience. The staff greeted us with these million-dollar smiles that made me feel right at home. I swear, they must have the best-looking crew in all of Bali!
This time, I decided to go all out and ordered a side of mie goreng, cumi goreng, and jamur goreng. As a self-proclaimed fish lover, I couldn’t resist getting another four pieces of that amazing Gurami bakar. And oh my god, it was mind-blowing! The mie goreng was packed with flavor (probably a bit of MSG magic in there), and it was honestly the most divine thing I’ve ever tasted. We were so into it that our plates were licked clean by the end of the meal—no surprise there!
And get this, they even treated us to a plate of 3Ts (tempeh, terung, tahu) on the house! Such a sweet gesture that made my heart swell with joy. But alas, all good things must come to an end. We left with smiles on our faces and maybe a couple of extra kilos on our bodies. I can’t even call myself their biggest fan if I didn’t order from them three nights in a row! By the third visit, my taste buds finally figured out the secret behind their deliciousness. The complex flavors were brought to life by some serious cooking skills that even master chefs would envy. The fish was marinated in a way that made every bite a delightful surprise.
If I could give them 10 stars, I totally would! Seriously, don’t leave Bali without trying this slice of heaven. It turned our first night’s despair into pure joy and has been a highlight of our trip ever since!

As I stepped into Ayam Bakar Madu Jakarta Nusa Dua, located conveniently on Jalan Siligita, right in front of a mini mart, I was immediately enveloped by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant boasts a clean and spacious layout, with plenty of tables that promise a comfortable dining experience. The aroma of grilled chicken wafted through the air, teasing my senses and setting the stage for a culinary adventure.
The star of the menu, of course, is the Ayam Bakar Madu, available in both thigh and breast cuts. I opted for the thigh, paired with a side of rice and the sweet and tangy Ayam Saos Asam Manis. The chicken was perfectly grilled, with a caramelized honey glaze that added a delightful sweetness, balanced by a hint of smokiness. It was a dish that truly encapsulated the essence of Indonesian barbecue.
One of the highlights of my meal was the Cumi Saus Padang, priced at just 35,000 IDR. Although the portion was a bit small, the flavors were anything but. The squid was tender and coated in a spicy Padang sauce that left my taste buds dancing. The Gurame Bakar (grilled fish) was another standout, generously sized at 40,000 IDR, making it perfect for sharing. It was grilled to perfection, with a crispy skin and flaky flesh that melted in my mouth.
For those looking for lighter options, the Cah Tauge (stir-fried bean sprouts) at just 10,000 IDR was a refreshing addition to my meal, while the rice was a steal at only 5,000 IDR. I also treated myself to a refreshing glass of Es Jeruk (orange juice) for 6,000 IDR, which was the perfect complement to the savory dishes.
The service at Ayam Bakar Madu was impeccable. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my food arrived promptly. I was particularly impressed by the quick service, which is a must for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying meal without a long wait.
While I did hear some feedback about the Mie Goreng (fried noodles) being a bit salty, my overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. The restaurant’s commitment to quality is evident in every dish, and the prices are incredibly reasonable, with meals ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 IDR per person.
In conclusion, Ayam Bakar Madu Jakarta Nusa Dua is a must-visit for anyone wanting to dive deep into the rich tapestry of Indonesian culinary culture. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for both locals and tourists alike. Whether you’re a fan of grilled chicken or looking to explore other Indonesian delights, this restaurant has something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this gem during your culinary journey!
