If you’re ever in Bali and have a sweet tooth, you absolutely have to check out Al Bacio Gelato & Cafe on Jl. Tukad Musi I No. 3A in Denpasar. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem! The food gets a perfect score of 5.0/5.0, and honestly, I can see why. The service? Also a solid 5.0/5.0. And the atmosphere? Yup, you guessed it, another 5.0/5.0. It’s the kind of spot where you can just chill and enjoy your meal.
So, I decided to try a few dishes while I was there. I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel, Classic, and Mac N Cheese Balls. Let me tell you, everything was delicious! I mean, who doesn’t love a good schnitzel? But I did notice some reviews mentioning that the Chicken Quesadilla was a bit off, saying it had a thin crust like martabak telor instead of the thicker tortilla we usually expect. And yeah, the Mac & Cheese Balls had a bit too much flour for my taste, and the waffle was slightly bitter because it was a tad burnt. But honestly, I loved everything else!
One reviewer mentioned that this place is underrated and not too crowded, which is perfect if you’re looking for a chill vibe. They raved about the waffles, saying they were crispy and made to order. They tried the lotus waffles with ice cream and added a couple more scoops for just 15k each. Total cost? Only 87.5k! Plus, the staff is super friendly, and the ambiance is just lovely. Totally recommend it!
Another visitor shared how great the food is and how nice the atmosphere is for studying or just hanging out with friends and family. They used to study there because it’s such a cozy spot. The prices are reasonable too, making it a great place to spend some time.
One thing to note is that while the gelato is nice, they don’t have vegan or lactose-free options, and the prices displayed don’t include tax and service fees. But hey, that’s pretty common in many places.
I really enjoyed my time at this cozy little cafe, especially while working on my laptop. It wasn’t crowded at all, and the service was fantastic. I had some Long Fries and a pot of hot tea on a rainy day, and it was the perfect mood booster!
All in all, I can’t wait to come back to Al Bacio Gelato & Cafe the next time I’m in Bali. It’s definitely a spot worth revisiting!

First off, let’s talk about the food. Their Chicken Schnitzel is a must-try! It’s crispy, juicy, and just downright delicious. And if you’re in the mood for something a bit more indulgent, the Mac N Cheese Balls are pure comfort food bliss. Seriously, who can resist cheesy goodness?
Now, I have to mention the gelato. It’s pretty darn good! One visitor noted, “The gelato tastes very similar to the real ingredients,” and I couldn’t agree more. Just keep in mind that they don’t have vegan or lactose-free options, and the prices displayed don’t include tax and service fees, so be prepared for that.
