Rice Republic Bali, Canggu

As I stepped into Rice Republic Bali in Canggu, I was immediately enveloped by a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt like a nostalgic embrace from my childhood. The vibrant decor and the tantalizing aroma of Asian spices wafting through the air transported me back to family vacations and my mother’s kitchen, where every meal was a celebration of flavors and love.

After a long day of exploring, I was starving and ready to indulge. The cashier greeted me with a genuine smile, her friendliness making me feel right at home. She patiently guided me through the menu, helping me choose the Republic Fried Rice with extra chicken, a decision that would soon prove to be a delightful one. When the dish arrived, it was a feast for the senses. The stir-fried rice, perfectly cooked with vibrant veggies and succulent chicken, was topped with crispy fried onions and accompanied by a refreshing pickled carrot and cucumber salad. The portion was enormous, and I could barely finish it, but every bite was a burst of flavor that made my heart sing. The extra chili oil I requested was the cherry on top, adding just the right amount of heat to elevate the dish. For just 56k, including taxes, the value for money was simply insane!

My friend opted for the same dish without the extra chicken, and the noticeable size difference was a testament to the generous portions they serve. It was clear that Rice Republic values its customers, ensuring that we leave not just satisfied but truly nourished. The Pad Thai we tried later was equally impressive, with both chicken and shrimp options that were packed with flavor and protein, making it a perfect choice for those of us who prioritize nutrition while dining out.

However, not every experience was as glowing. I overheard a couple of diners expressing their disappointment, citing bland flavors and unseasoned dishes. It was a stark contrast to the joy I felt, but it reminded me that every restaurant has its off days. Yet, the overwhelming majority of reviews echoed my sentiments, praising the authentic taste and the heartwarming experience.

As I savored the last bites of my meal, I couldn’t help but reflect on how Rice Republic Bali had touched my heart. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about the memories it evoked and the warmth of the service that made me feel like part of a family. In a world where dining can often feel rushed and impersonal, this little gem in Canggu reminded me of the beauty of sharing a meal, the joy of flavors that resonate with our past, and the connections we forge over food. I left with a full belly and a happy heart, already planning my next visit to relive this perfect experience.

If you’re ever in Canggu, Bali, you absolutely have to check out Rice Republic! This Asian restaurant is a hidden gem located at Jl. Canggu Padang Linjong No.65A. I recently had dinner there, and let me tell you, it was a delightful experience!

The vibe of the place is super chill, with an atmosphere rating of 4.3/5.0. It’s the kind of spot where you can kick back and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Speaking of meals, I ordered a few dishes like Honey Banana Fritters, Yangzhou Fried Rice, and Szechuan Fried Rice. All of them were delicious! Seriously, the fried rice here is a must-try. One reviewer even said, “Go to for fried rice cravers,” and I couldn’t agree more!

Now, a heads up: the Tom Yum soup is extremely spicy, and that’s not mentioned in the description, so if you’re not into the heat, maybe skip that one. But if you love a good kick, go for it! Another local said, “The best nasi goreng I’ve ever had :)” and I can see why. It’s definitely the best fried rice in Canggu!

What really stood out to me was the generous portions and the amazing service. The owner, Erica, was super friendly and even treated us to some free pineapple fritters since I mentioned I’d never had them before. How cool is that? One guest raved, “Came back twice since everything on the menu looked mouthwatering,” and I totally get it. I was torn between so many delicious options!

The price is also pretty reasonable, with meals ranging from Rp50,000-75,000 per person. You really get a great price-quality ratio here. I mean, we had two portions of Pad Thai—one with chicken and one with both chicken and shrimp—and both were delicious. Plus, they really load up on the protein, which is a big win for me!

Overall, Rice Republic is a fantastic spot for a hearty and delicious meal without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be coming back for more the next time I’m in Bali. Highly recommend it!
