UTSAV – Indian, Western, Chinese & Asian, Uluwatu Raya
Rani
Stepping into UTSAV – Indian, Western, Chinese & Asian in Uluwatu Raya, Bali, feels like a warm embrace from the past. The moment I entered, I was enveloped by the rich aromas that transported me back to my childhood, reminiscent of my mother’s cooking and the joyous family gatherings during holidays. After five long days of searching for authentic Indian cuisine, we finally stumbled upon this gem, and it was worth every moment of the wait.
The food here is nothing short of amazing. Each dish is a celebration of flavors that dance on your palate. We indulged in the dal makhani, samosas, and mutton rogan josh, each bite echoing the authenticity that is often hard to find. The honey chili sweet potatoes were a delightful surprise, adding a sweet and spicy twist to our meal. While the mutton could use a slight enhancement in flavor, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. The staff, with their sweet demeanor and attentive service, made us feel right at home, ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
On our second visit, we were reminded once again why this place is hailed as the most delicious Indian restaurant in Bali. The portions were generous, the flavors vibrant, and the prices reasonable. We savored garlic naan, plain rice, pappadums, shrimp curry, and a delightful chickpea dish, all of which were top-notch. The vegetarian biryani and mixed vegetable dish from our previous visit still linger in our memories, a testament to the restaurant’s consistency in delivering quality. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet, a perfect backdrop for enjoying a meal with loved ones. The staff’s friendliness and readiness to assist at any moment added a personal touch that made our experience even more special.
UTSAV is truly a perfect place to explore a fusion of Indian, Western, and Indonesian cuisines under one roof. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, crafted with love and authenticity. The perfect Indian masala chai was the cherry on top, a comforting drink that warmed my heart.
Reflecting on our time at UTSAV, I am filled with gratitude. This restaurant is not just a place to eat; it’s a sanctuary that rekindles fond memories and creates new ones. It’s a reminder of the power of food to connect us to our roots and to each other. I can’t wait to return and relive the magic all over again.
