Stepping into Mason Restaurant in Batu Bolong, Bali, feels like being enveloped in a warm embrace of nostalgia. The ambiance is inviting, reminiscent of family gatherings and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. As I settled into my seat, I was greeted by the lovely staff who made me feel right at home, even though we arrived just before closing time. They graciously took our order, ensuring that we didn’t miss out on the culinary delights that awaited us.

The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the Pavlova, a dessert that danced on my palate with its light, airy texture and delightful sweetness. It was a perfect end to a meal that was already filled with incredible flavors. While some may find the prices a tad high, the experience and the quality of the food made every penny worth it.

I indulged in the 48-hour slow-roasted beef ribs, which were so tender they practically melted in my mouth. The charcoal chicken was equally impressive, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The truffle mac and cheese was so good that we ordered it twice, a testament to its irresistible taste. However, the meatball dish fell a bit flat, lacking the excitement that the other dishes brought to the table. The ambiance was wonderful, though the music was slightly louder than I would have preferred.

While some diners felt that the grill offerings didn’t leave a lasting impression, I found the overall experience to be enchanting. The wagyu striploin steak may not have been the star of the show, but the atmosphere and the attentive staff certainly were. It’s a place where the vibes are palpable, and you can’t help but feel uplifted.

My dining experience at Mason was nothing short of extraordinary. The flavors and textures of the food left me in awe, and I can confidently say it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff’s friendliness added a magical touch to the evening, making it a memorable occasion. Mason has quickly become my favorite spot in Bali, a place I will return to time and again.

Reflecting on my time at Mason, I realize that it’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a place that touches the heart. The authentic flavors remind me of my childhood, of family meals filled with laughter and love. It’s a reminder that food is not just about sustenance, but about connection, memories, and the joy of sharing moments with those we cherish. Mason Restaurant is a beautiful blend of all these elements, and I left feeling incredibly happy and content, eager to return for another taste of nostalgia.

Hey there! So, I recently checked out M. MASON Bar | Grill in Canggu, Bali, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! Located at Jl. Batu Bolong No. 83, this place has a chill vibe that makes you want to kick back and enjoy your meal.

First off, the food got a rating of 3.7/5.0, but honestly, I think it deserves a bit more love. The service was on point with a solid 4.7/5.0, and the atmosphere? A cozy 4.3/5.0. I went there for dinner, and the prices are around Rp250,000+ per person, which is pretty reasonable for the quality you get.

I ordered a few dishes like the Charcoal Chicken, Hummus, and Green Salad, and everything was delicious! The Charcoal Chicken was definitely a highlight. I mean, some folks have mentioned that the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way through on their visits, which is a bit concerning, but I didn’t have that issue. Just a heads up, though, it’s super important to make sure chicken is cooked properly! On the flip side, I heard someone rave about the potato puree being the best, and honestly, I can see why! One review even said, “Honestly, nicest food I’ve ever eaten in Bali!” and I totally get that vibe. It was sensational!

Other diners were loving their meals too! One person said, “Amazing food. Loved every dish we ordered!” They had everything from Wagyu cured beef to lava chocolate cake, and they were super bummed they found this place right before leaving Bali. Another review mentioned that M. MASON is a stellar choice for dinner with lovely vibes and tasty food. They recommended the Hummus, Roast Chicken, and even the popular Bread Pudding, which you might need to preorder!

Someone else mentioned the 48-hour slow-roasted beef ribs and the truffle mac n cheese, saying the ribs were so tender they were practically falling apart in your mouth. They did say the meatball dish was a bit “meh,” but overall, they enjoyed the ambiance, even if the music was a tad loud.

All in all, M. MASON Bar | Grill is a great spot with a clean and well-decorated atmosphere, both inside and out. I’d definitely recommend the Charcoal Chicken and can’t wait to go back if I find myself in Bali again!
